Keto is an easier diet plan for a lot of people because the limit of carbs helps them reduce calories and lose weight. And for people with food issues, it often removes a lot of the “foods with no brakes” such as chips where you can easily consume way too much mindlessly and they end up gaining weight on the keto diet that they went on to lose weight
BUT there are still people who can gain weight on keto and this is usually because they are not tracking. They are doing some free for all lazy dirty keto-ish thing and they may lose a bit at first but then it stops or stalls or the weight starts to go back up.
It is possible for someone who is following a ketogenic diet to gain weight if they consume too many calories or eat too many high-calorie, high-fat foods. The ketogenic diet involves consuming high amounts of fat, moderate amounts of protein, and very low amounts of carbohydrates. While this diet can be effective for weight loss for some people, it still requires careful monitoring of calorie intake to ensure that you are in a calorie deficit. Consuming too many calories, even if they are coming from fats, can lead to weight gain. Additionally, some high-fat foods, such as nuts and cheese, can be high in calories and may lead to weight gain if consumed in large quantities.
You cannot just eat all you want whenever you want and what you want — there are still limits. Yes, you can eat foods that a lot of diets frown upon — like bacon and cheese and steak and nuts but you have to pace yourself or you won’t lose weight.
