What is Strict Keto?

Ok so I was reading around the web yesterday and I came across some dude’s site who literally says “my pet peeve is when people say ‘if it fits in your macros'”

WHY DOES HE CARE WHAT I DO OR WHAT YOU DO??  I have no idea!!

So some people doing strict keto I admire and some are whiny jerks who want to shame you for not being as noble as they are.   Personally, I think it is better to be a bit lazy and dirty and be successful and build on that success than it is to go out the gate super strict and fail and bail after a month (or a week)

Strict Keto is just what it says, super strict.  Here are the basics:

Strict Keto is 70% Fat, 25% Protein, 5% Carbs – like all keto.  but then also no legumes, no root veggies, no tubers, no booze, no diet products, no low fat products, no fruit, no starches, no seed oils, no sugar, no sugar substitutes (although they seem to be loosy goosy on gross stevia even though store bought stevia is as processed as any sweetener) Here is a full list of what strict keto is.

So if you like the idea of strict keto – DO IT.  Do it for you and be kind to others.  At the end of the day, none of us are any more special or any more noble than anyone else so eating strict keto does not make you special.  And being mean to other people makes you an asshole, not special.   Be kind and that makes you a special person  🙂
